Huge shock to BJP: Gokaraju family set to join YSRCP

The BJP in Andhra Pradesh is in for a big shock as its former MP and a steadfast RSS loyalist Gokaraju Gangaraju is all set to switch sides. Several family members of Gokaraju Rangaraju are all set to join the YSRCP. They are likely to join the party on Monday.
Gangaraju’s brothers – president of the prestigious DNR group of institutions Narasimha Raju and former TTD member Rama Raju and son and president of Ashram Hospital Ranga Raju are all set to join the YSRCP in the presence of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. However, it is not clear whether Gokaraju Gangaraju will leave the BJP. Gangaraju has been steadfastly loyal to the BJP and has been quite close to the RSS. He was given party ticket for Narsapuram Lok Sabha seat and has won as an MP. But, his son Ranga Raju has maintained closer relationship with the YSRCP. Initially, his name was considered for the Narsapuram MP seat, but Raghuramakrishnam Raju was given the ticket at the last minute.
Sources say the YSRCP has cosied up to the Gokaraju Gangaraju family after present MP Raghuramakrishnam Raju began pallying up wih the BJP. Raghuramakrishnam Raju, who is a YSRCP MP, is meeting the BJP leaders unauthorisedly and is trying to build up a relation with the BJP. Despite several warnings, he continues to do this. This has angered the YSRCP establishment and to reduce his importance, the party is now trying to bring in the Gokaraju family. This development could be a serious setback for the BJP as Gokaraju family has been one of the biggest supporters of the party all these years.
