Based on the doubts raised by the victim’s family members, the cops have dug deeper into the case and were stunned to know the details. Their investigation has found out that, it was not a casual accident, she has been killed after her husband instructed a gang to do so.
Going into detail, on the 21st of this month, 28-year-old Jeyabarathi was returning to her home from her workplace. On her way home, she was hit by a vehicle that was coming from the opposite end.
After hitting the victims, the vehicle left the spot. The victim, who sustained injuries in the accident was rushed to a hospital by some passerby. While undergoing treatment, she succumbed to the injuries.
Digging deep into the case, the cops gathered all the details of the victims and found out that Jayabarathi tied the knot with Vishnuprakash, who works for an IT Company-based out of the United States.
However, the couple had some issues and the wife returned to her hometown and started working. The attempts of the family members to reconcile the couple went in vain.
Things escalated quickly when the wife sent a divorce notice to her husband. Fearing that divorce will make him pay alimony, he started to threaten his wife and her family members to take back the notice.
After nabbing the gang, the cops registered a case under sections 147,107,249, 120(b), 302, r/w 34 of the IPC. The truck driver, owner Senthil Kumar and another person Jegan Raja were sent to remand.
