Husbands Harassing Wives Will Be Sent To Quarantine
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 April 2020 2:45 PM GMTLockdown was imposed in India so that the spread of the COVID-19 virus can be stopped. But this has resulted in the rapid rise of the domestic violence cases in India. Now the Pune Rural Development officials have come up with a brilliant idea to counter domestic violence.
They have decided to sent people for quarantine centers that harass wives and women. The same was confirmed by Pune Zilla Parishad CEO Aayush Kumar who said that alcohol lovers who were unable to bear the unavailability of liquor are indulging in such acts.
The decision was taken by the Zilla Parishad in the wake of the National woman Commission claiming that the domestic violence cases are increasing following the lockdown across the nation.
Aayush Kumar went on to say that they will give counseling and even though they don't change their behavior they will be sent to quarantine. For this, Panchayati ward members and Anganwadi workers will be appointed as volunteers who will conduct door-to-door surveys and supply medicines.
