Hyd Minor Case: Cops Rule out HM's Grandson Role!

An alleged heinous crime of a minor girl subjected to an alleged gang rape is rocking Telangana now. Though the issue reportedly happened earlier last month, the case came to light lately. The issue became sensational as reports say that one of the accused hauls from a political background.
A 17-year-old girl reportedly being gang-raped had sent shocking waves across the state. As if it was not enough, a few reports state that Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali's grandson was also dubbed as one of the five accused in the case.
This made the case a much-talked-about one. The opposition parties lashed out at the government on the issue and are alleging that due to vote bank politics the government is not taking any action against the Home Minister's grandson. With the Home Minister issue, the alleged gang-rape turned political.
Amid this, DCP Joel Devis spoke to the media on the issue and cleared the airs. He said that the Police made a big breakthrough by identifying the five accused in the case. Having said that, the DCP told the media that there is no truth in the allegations against the home minister's grandson.
"Five accused have been identified in the case. Among them are three minors. One accused, Saduddin Malik, has been arrested. The allegation that the home minister's grandson was involved is baseless," the DCP said.
Tracing back the details, on the 28th of last month, a 17-year-old girl went to a pub in Hyderabad. At the pub, the victim met a boy, and the boy reportedly promised the victim to drop her home. After leaving the pub, the accused reportedly took her to a place in a car.
The accused reportedly gang-raped her at a car parked in Jubilee Hills. The girl informed her father of this and he moved the concerned police on the case. Based on the complaint, the cops registered a case and started a detailed investigation.
The investigation officers have probed the matter from various angles. Five accused have been identified by the cops. However, the cops said that the state Home Minister's grandson has nothing to do with the case.
