Hyd Student Raped and Killed in Chicago

In a horrifying turn of events, a 19-year-old student who has roots of Hyderabad, Ruth George was sexually assaulted and later strangled by the accused who goes by the name Donald Thurman in Chicago.
The same was confirmed by the police which left the community in a state of shock.
According to the reports, Ruth George who hails from Hyderabad went to the US for her higher studies. She is studying honours second year at the University of Illinois. She was found dead lying in the back seat of her family in the garage of the campus.
The accused Thurman was arrested at a Chicago metro station. Interestingly, he is not associated with the University. Cases of first-degree murder and aggravated sexual assault were filed on Thurman. George died due to strangulation confirms the medical reports.
"All of us are devastated by the loss of Ruth George, a member of our Honours College and a talented kinesiology student with dreams and aspirations to become a health professional and help others. Our thoughts, our hearts and our condolences are with her family and friends during this trying period," said University Chancellor Michael D Amiridis.
