Hyderabad - A World Heritage City?
X
Hyderabad has a history of 400 years approximately, to be exact it was built in 1591 AD by Mohammad Quli Qutub Shah as Bhagyanagar as a memorabilia for his love of life, Bhagmathi.

The city stood as imperial capital of Asaf Jahi dynasty or more popularly known as Nizams from 1769 to 1948, until the royals and separate kingdoms of India were united and abolished to form Union Republic of India.

Charminar in the city stands as the symbol for the human strength to fight plague and city has been known as city of lakes. As we speak, another Lake might have got encroached but that is a different topic for another day.

The point is Hyderabad is expanding and growing as an important Metropolitan city in India with great historic importance. Mumbai, Bangalore doesn't have similar long history but the city couldn't get the same recognition globally as much as the other two cities have acquired over the years.

Well, Telangana Municipality and Urban Development Minister KTR requested Kishan Reddy to change that by trying to get UNESCO World Heritage City recognition for Hyderabad. He said that like Istanbul, Turkey captial, Hyderabad is also growing and developing in a planned manner by preserving the history that the city stands for.

He announced that soon Government will start works to construct Regional Ring Road and Science City in Hyderabad. He also said that more than Rs. 7000 crores have been spent till date for development purpose in the city since Separate state of Telangana has been formed.

Kishan Reddy praised Telangana CM KCR and his government's work in past 7 years, since the separate state of Telangana has formed in developing Hyderabad as a global city. He said that NDA government is committed for development of Hyderabad and will soon work towards fulfilling KTR's request.
