Hyderabad Among Top 20 Most Surveilled Cities In World

Telangana's capital Hyderabad, the 430-year old city known for its unique culture and heritage, has been ranked as 16th in the top 20 most surveilled cities in the world.
According to a report prepared by Comparitech, a Britain-based tech research firm, Hyderabad is the only city from India to be in the list of top 20 most surveilled cities with 3 lakh cameras for a population of over one crore or 29.99 cameras per 1,000 people.
Eighteen of the top 20 cities in the list are located in China, while third-ranked London is the only city situated outside of China apart from Hyderabad. Two of India's biggest cities, Chennai and New Delhi were at 21 and 33 spots in the list of top 50 cities.
