Hyd City Buses To Provide 30 Mins Free Wi-Fi

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has been coming up with a unique scheme to attract the commuters in Hyderabad city. As per reports city Air conditioned buses in Hyderabad will soon be equipped with WiFi services.
RTC EO Purushotham announcing the plans said that the Wi-Fi facility would be provided in AC buses and Metro Deluxe buses. The RTC will provide 30 minutes free Wi-Fi facility and tariff will be applicable post that. The RTC has tied up with 'Go Rural India' to provide these services.
A trial run will be made on the buses that run between Jubilee Bus Station and Shamshabad airport and Uppal and Waverock. Based on the results from these two routes, the services will be enabled on other AC buses. The services will also be extended to the Metro Deluxe and Metro Express buses in future.
RTC has incurred Rs 289 crore losses in Greater Hyderabad Zone during 2015-16. The RTC was contemplating to overcome the losses by attracting the commuters to travel in RTC buses.
