Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar's ways are sending shock waves through the police officials. He appears to be adopting an uncompromising attitude to allegations of corruption and gender harassment. The way he is punishing police officers facing allegations.
Recently when Sanjivareddy Nagar CI Murali was embroiled in a land dispute, the CP took a very serious view. Meanwhile, another case of the CI going slow on a complaint filed by a woman against film personality Chota K Naidu's brother, came to light. Anjani Kumar immediately transferred Murali and replaced him with Narasimha Reddy. When Narsimha Reddy went to SR Nagar police station to take charge, CI Murali was blissfully unaware of his transfer. He was shocked and made discreet enquiries. Only then he came to know of his transfer.
Similarly, he replaced Boinpally CI Anjaiah with Ravikumar in the dead of the night. His strong and quick actions are leaving the police officials non-plussed. Many are now becoming extra careful while dealing with controversial cases lest Anjani Kumar initiate action against them.
