In a spine-chilling incident, the pearl city Hyderabad had witnessed a shocking honor killing incident. Unhappy with a girl marrying a person outside her religion, the girl's family members planned the attack. An unknown person carried out the attack and stabbed him to death.
Going into detail, the victim and a Muslim girl were in love since their college days. They have decided to take their relationship to a further level. For that, they decided to get married and tied the knot at Arya Samaj in Old City. It is barely two months since they got married.
As the girl is a Muslim and the victim hails from the Dalit community, the girl's family is believed to be against the wedding. They have planned to eradicate the victim and a person was hired to carry out the job. Coming on a bike, the attacker had stabbed the victim to death.
With the CCTV footage set up at the Saroornagar Tehsildar office covering the entire episode, the cops have arrested a few people including the girl's brother. It is said that the girl's family is not at all happy with their daughter marrying a person outside their religion. A police case has been filed and the investigation is underway.
The term honor killing became popular in Telugu states after the sensational death case of Pranay. As his daughter married a boy outside their caste, father Maruthi Rao planned the death. Later, he killed himself.
