Hyd Restaurant charges Rs 1 for Salt

Even a pinch of salt is chargeable at this restaurant-cum-bar located on Raj Bhawan Road in Somajiguda, Hyderabad.
Recently, A Family was dining at this plush restaurant. One of them asked for a pinch of salt for the lime soda served. He was really surprised to see Rs 1 charged for salt in the bill.
Actually, Restaurants are free to decide chargeable items and their prices. No legal action could be taken as per Packaged Goods and Commodities Act as the salt was served in loose form.
The Restaurant finally clarified it's just a technical glitch happened due to the new software installed and cashiers are yet to get accustomed to it. Even Waiters didn't notice it as it's already 11 PM and they might be in a hurry to wrap up. Though Restaurant offered to pay back Rs 150, which is the cost of the lime soda, The customer refused to accept it.
