Hyderabad Attains Fastest GDP Growth

The Brookings analysis of Oxford Economics Data gives a clear picture about the GDP Growth Rate of 300 Largest Metros in the World from 2014 to 2016. Hyderabad is World's 3rd Best when it comes to Employment Growth. Chengdu in China and Manila in Philippines were ranked No.1 and No.2 respectively.
National Capital Delhi stood as World's sixth fastest growing Metro. Whereas, Hyderabad is the 14th Fastest Growing City in the Asia Pacific Region. While Surat stood at 19th spot, Mumbai managed 23rd rank. Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Pune obtained 46, 86 and 88th ranks respectively.
Hyderabad's GDP Growth (8.7 percent) is way above than that of Delhi (6.6 percent) and Surat (7.9 percent). Chennai and Kolkata recorded slowest Growth Rate of 2.5 percent.
Employment Growth Rate of Hyderabad was 5.4 percent (3,43,500 jobs) for the financial year 2014-15. In case of Mumbai, It's Rs 4.70 lakh jobs at a growth rate of 2.9 percent.
