I am not in Maharashtra CM's race: Nitin Gadkari

But all the efforts of Gadkari to become Chief Minaiter went on vain and he announced that he was not in the race for the top post.Since the assembly election results were announced, Gadkari , had said that he was "not in the race" for the chief minister's post, but the mood seems to have changed following his meetings with his followers.
About 40 MLAs had gathered at Gadkari's residence and requested him to accept the CM post. Almost five MLAs also offered to resign for him to get elected to the Assembly.Gadkari's name was floated by former minister and state party chief Sudhir Mungantiwa and another MLA Krishna Khopde
But the top leadership of the party not showed interest on Gadkari and wants to make Maharashtra BJP president Devendra Fadnavis as CM.As high command not in a view to change its opinion Gadkari himself gives up and said that he was happy with the responsibilities assigned to him in New Delhi.
The BJP, which won an unprecedented 122 of 288 seats in Maharashtra Assembly polls, is yet to announce its chief ministerial candidate. The Chief Minister's name will be declared only after BJP's Parliamentary board meeting in New Delhi.
