I fought for Hyderabad Metro Rail: CBN
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 Nov 2017 3:19 PM GMTMuch to everyone's surprise, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu claimed credit for Hyderabad Metro Rail project. When media persons sought his response at the Assembly lobby, TDP Supremo commented: 'It's because of Me Hyderabad got Metro Rail. When I was the Chief Minister of United AP, I fought for Metro Rail project and ensured Hyderabad was included along with Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. While Karnataka and Gujarat Governments completed Metro Rail projects quickly, Hyderabad Metro Rail got delayed because of YSR Government. HICC where GES 2017 is being conducted and Shamshabad Airport were constructed during TDP regime. The mark I left can't be wiped out..I will have the satisfaction of developing Hyderabad'.
If Chandrababu Naidu claims credit for Hyderabad Metro Rail, What about YSR, Kiran Kumar Reddy and KCR who served as Chief Ministers during the period L&T constructed this prestigious project? The foundation stone for Metro Rail was laid during YSR Tenure. A part of the work was done during Congress Government till 2014.
Thereafter, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao made few changes in the routes for safeguarding heritage structures. Even the plan to have an end-to-end connectivity delayed the project. Just a day after the inauguration, Chandrababu Naidu claims credit for Metro Rail. Is it fair?
