I Have No Connection With My Fathers Comments: YCP MLA!
X
The ruling party in Andhra Pradesh YSRCP is already facing issues with rebel MP Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju. At regular intervals, the MP is targeting the government and Chief Minister. Raju Garu even filed a petition seeking the cancellation of the bail of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

While Raghurama Krishnam Raju is still troubling the party, a senior party leader expressed his anger at the ruling party. Former Home Minister Vasantha Nageswara Rao made some sensational comments on YCP and said that there is not even a single Kamma legislator in the Cabinet.

At the Vanasamaradhana, the former Minister who is also the father of YCP MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad made these comments and raised the political heat. He also alleged that the Kamma community was not even in a position to protest when the name of NTR University was changed.

An MLA's father making these comments raised many eyeballs. Now his son Vasantha Krishna Prasad stepped in damage control. He said that the comments made by his father are his opinion and he has no links to them. Talking about the Amaravati capital, the MLA said that he is bound to the decision taken by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Crediting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for giving him a chance to enter the Assembly and helping him to defeat former Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao. He also said that he will run the polls if the leadership asks him. The MLA urged YSRCP followers and fans to not take the comments seriously.

It is no wonder that the MLA swung into action and corrected the comments made by his father. We have seen how the Andhra Pradesh government dealt with rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju. Despite no political rivalries between the communities the government reportedly targeted him over the comments he made.

After he said who wants this kind of leadership and who cares for that leadership, Ragurama Krishnam Raju was slapped with a sedition case and was arrested. He later alleged that he was mishandled in police custody and sustained injuries. The issue even reached the Supreme Court.
