I Never Wanted To Be CM: Rajinikanth
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 March 2020 6:35 AM GMTSuperstar Rajinikanth aka Thalaivar has finally cleared all the airs on his direct political entry into the Tamil Nadu politics and said that he was "never aspired to become the Chief Minister" and he "only want changeâ.
His statements have created a sensation in the political circles as his fans and Tamil people have thought that he might be the Chief Minister of the state and bring the change in the state.
He made these comments at a press conference held at a five-star hotel in Chennai. His comments came in the wake of the Assembly polls in the state which will get commenced next year.
"I have never thought of the Chief Minister's post. I only want a change in politics... If change in politics and government does not happen now, it will never happen," Thalaivar said.
"There were two stalwarts in our politics, one was Jayalalithaa and one was Kalaignar (M Karunanidhi). People voted for them but now, there is a vacuum. Now, we need to create a new movement to bring change. There will be different heads for party and possible government headed by it," he added.
Though he did not mention the date when he will announce his political party he said that his party will be launched before the 2021 Assembly polls. He added that one of his proposals includes nominating an "educated and compassionate youngster" as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and he will restrict himself as the supremo of the party.
