Just when the atmosphere is cooling down after an intense Test Series, Former Australian Cricketer Ed Cowan added fuel to the fire by saying he once felt like stabbing Virat Kohli with a stump after he commented something highly inappropriate on a cricket field.
Ed Cowan: 'Virat Kohli made an highly inappropriate comment during that series. It's a personal matter that very sensitive. At that moment, I wanted to pick up a stump and stab him. Kohli didn't realize that he has crossed the line until Umpire intervened. He finally apologised to Me'.
The Australian, however, claims he is a huge fan of the Indian Skipper. 'Kohli is a phenomenal cricketerâ¦I am a huge fan of his cricket,' he says.
Ed Cowan played 18 Tests for Australia and scored 1001 Runs. His highest score is 136 in his Test Career.
