A week after officially confirming her divorce with Pakistan Cricketer-turned-Politician Imran Khan, Reham Khan opened up about the reasons which led to the break-up just 10 months after the marriage.
Reham Khan: "I was told by a Senior Adviser that I should never been seen, they want me to remain indoors, cook chapatis in kitchen all my life".
Imran Khan felt insecure after Reham Khan became an ambassador for street children of Peshawar. In addition, Reham Khan admitting before media that she had faced domestic violence in her first marriage didn't go down well with Imran's political party Tehreek-i-Insaf. Even though there were protests all over, Imran Khan's advisors asked Reham Khan not to defend herself but let it die down. To her misery, The protests continued for a long period.
Reham Khan claims she is at peace post the separation. She wishes to work for street children and produce films in future.
