IAF condemns rumors about Sachin

Indian Air Force (IAF) condemned reports of dropping Sachin Tendulkar as its brand ambassador to end the two years association. It also clarified Sachin is just a Group Captain and was never chosen to be the brand ambassador.
On Tuesday, Media reports said IAF has decided to drop the Batting Maestro as brand ambassador after the association with the cricketer failed to garner desired results.
In 2010, IAF conferred Sachin with the rank of Group Captain to honour his achievements in the field of sports and also to attract the youth towards Air Force. He is also the first sportsperson and first person with no aviation background to be given the honour.
