India-Pak Series? Wasim Akram targets ICC!
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 Nov 2017 12:53 PM GMTFormer Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram slammed International Cricket Council (ICC) for its helplessness in making BCCI play bilateral series with Pakistan. He didn't hesitate to say ICC lacked the power to convince BCCI not to link politics and sports.
The 51-Year-Old declares India-Pakistan series is more exciting than Ashes Series between Australia and England. 'India-Pakistan series is more fun. While 20 million people watch Ashes, A billion people across the world would watch India-Pakistan match,' he said.
In 2014, BCCI signed an agreement with Pakistan Cricket Board to play six bilateral series from 2015 to 2023. Out of them, PCB will host four series. However, Indian Cricket Board dishonored the agreement due to the frequent terror attacks planned from Pakistan soil.
In the recent ICC Champions Trophy 2017, India and Pakistan won one match each playing against each other. Pak holds a slight upper hand by winning the final by a record margin of 180 runs.
