If the IPL 2020 gets cancelled this year, then BCCI would have to bear heavy loses. The expected loss is around 3869.5 crore was to be met by the broadcaster Star Sports.
Apart from this, Rs 400 crores from the main title sponsor Vivo, and Rs 200 crore from other central sponsors is a loss. In this way, BCCI will incur a loss of Rs 3869.50 crores. The Indian cricketers and abroad players will also suffer a significant loss. The franchise work on one simple formula- no match, no money. Apart from this, the teams estimated to lose Rs 450â500 crore as sponsorship money. And, Rs 250 crore loss is expected form of tickets.
