Reports say that this year United States citizens lost as much as $10.2 billion due to fraud. Compared to last year the amount lost by the citizens increased by a massive 47 percent which is very huge. Authorities are worrying about this as the number of gangs that are doing fraudulent activities is increasing rapidly.
It is said that the illegal call centers that are believed to have run from India cheated US citizens, mainly elders, to the tune of 6 billion dollars this year. In just 11 months starting from February.
It is said that the law enforcement agency in the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI) reportedly gathered information that illegal call centers are cheating people in America and the elderly people are losing their savings in this. Elderly people are the target of fraudsters reportedly.
They cheat the victims in the name of pop-ups that appear while searching for something online. If the pop-ups are opened then gone they will lose all the money in their accounts. On the pretext of offering tech support as well, the elderly people are cheated as per the information.
Interpol is taking the help of Delhi Police to crack down on the call centers which are cheating elderly people. With the Interpol stepping in we can understand how big the matter is. Moreover, such centers will bring a bad image for India which is a big concern.

These kinds of call centers might impact the tries and India's image in front of other nations. To see that such a thing won't happen the FBI is taking the help of the Delhi Police. It is said that an official in the US Embassy in the national capital Delhi will work with the FBI and Delhi Police.
