In the wake of surgical strikes by India across the Line of Control (LoC), Country's biggest producers council India Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) passed a resolution imposing ban on Pakistan actors, technicians & performers. Decision taken by 23-member Panel was announced at the 77th Annual General Meeting.

IMPPA Members complained none of the Pakistani Artistes who earned money and fame working in India film industry has expressed concern after the Uri terror attack. Pakistan actor Fawad Khan and Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan didn't bother to offer tribute to 18 soldiers who got killed even after appeal from IMPPA President. 'A condolence meet was organized after children were killed by Terrorists in Peshawar. When our people get killed, These people don't even offer condolence. Then, Why should we offer them work and glorify their talent?,' asks a Member.

The Association made it clear there won't be any objection to those films, starring Pakistani actors, which are currently on floors. But, No fresh assignments should be signed with Pakistani artistes from now onwards until Union Government sends the indication normalcy was restored.
