East Godavari District is stated to be one of the most richest districts in India. It occupies place in top five in entire India. Main income source of this region used to be agriculture but now it has turned into crude oil business. Few years back, Godavari regions are considered to be the best tourism spots in AP.
Now, entire ecosystem got changed in these regions. Godavari regions enjoy the best coast line and beaches in Andhra Pradesh. Now, this region got changed due to crude oil mining activities. Beach environment is lost and the beach festival is now a big doubt among the people in these regions. Adding to this, Gas pipelines are running all over Godavari regions and majority of this region is covered with ONGC, GAIL, GSPC and many more national and international oil companies.
Due to frequent pipelines construction, crops and farming is getting affected. As majority of these regions has been covered with gas and oil pipelines, we can expect that this region is in deep trouble with respect to safety. Recent accident is an example. Analysts are saying that people in Godavari districts may face huge trouble if they ignore the situations.
