Chandrababu Naidu attained 'U-Turn Babu' tag with multiple U-Turns he took on various crucial matters during the TDP Rule from 2014 to 2019. Because of it, TDP performed like never before in the 2019 Elections. The situation of Naidu is such that even his Son Nara Lokesh faced defeat by a big margin.
Alla Ramakrishna Reddy got elected as Mangalagiri MLA with just 12 votes in 2014 Elections. Contesting against Nara Lokesh, He won with a majority of over 5,000 votes.
Nara Lokesh faced criticism for becoming a Minister in short-cut (MLC) rather than by getting elected as an MLA. He didn't resign as MLC inspite of contesting in the Assembly Polls. Post the defeat in Mangalagiri, Lokesh could continue as an MLC for the full term.
Although YCP have 151 Members in Assembly, TDP still holds an upper hand in Legislative Council. Whether Lokesh will continue as MLC or resign for the post? What if he continues as MLC but doesn't appear for the sessions? Wait & See!
