The TRS insiders are hotly debating one issue these days. One MLA is seen asking another "did you get it?" The hottest topic of discussion is the IT notice. There are reports that over 40 TRS MLAs have been served Income Tax notices to explain how their assets rose exponentially within just four years. There is a great difference in their IT returns within four years. The IT sleuths who studied these returns, have sent notices to them.
Sources say several MLAs from Karimnagar, Hyderabad, Mahbubnagar, Medchal, Asifabad and Khammam districts have been served notices. The TRS MLAs are said to be running around chartered accountants to get their accounts corrected and file an explanation. At least 10 MLAs have confirmed that they did receive IT notices and admitted that they were preparing their responses. We have been given time to send our responses, an MLA said. According to sources, Nagarkurnool MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy has the highest assets among those served notices. His assets are pegged at Rs 160 crore. Some sources revealed that even Etela Rajender was among those who was served a notice.
