Days after the Rs 500 crore lavish wedding of his Daughter Brahmani at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore, Income Tax Sleuths raided the offices of Gali Janardhan Reddy's Obulapuram Mining Company in Bellary. In addition, As many as 10 event management companies (7 in Bangalore, 3 in Hyderabad) which were roped for the wedding ceremony came under the scanner. Raids were conducted at all of these high-profile event management firms simultaneously on Monday.
IT Officials have been going through account books and payment receipts of these event management firms. The firms taken care of wedding festivities, hiring stars for live performance, booking hotels & flight tickets and catering. Based on the findings during the raids, Notices would be served to event management firms for evasion of taxes.
