India adds 14,256 fresh Coronavirus infections in 24 hours

The data released by the Union Health Ministry said, India has registered 14,256 new infections in the past 24 hours, which takes the total toll of the infections to 10,639,684.
In a piece of good news, India has added less than 15,000 fresh Coronavirus infections for the second consecutive day, which is a good sign of progress.
Looking at the Covid-19 related fatalities, a total of 1,53,184 patients have succumbed to the respiratory disease in the country, including 152 fatalities recorded in the past 24 hours.
The Health Ministry's data said there are 185,662 active Coronavirus infections in the country, while a total of 10,300,838 patients have been recovered from the respiratory disease so far.
India has recently started a massive vaccination program against the novel Coronavirus. The Health workers and Coronavirus will be vaccinated in the first phase of the vaccination drive.
The DCGI has approved two vaccines developed by Serum Institute of India (Covishield), and Covaxin developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
