India continues evacuation from Ukraine, fifth flight reached!

The war-hit Ukraine is forcing other nations to respond swiftly on evacuating the nationals and students of the respective nations to safe places. However, the process had turned problematic and tough with Ukraine closing its airbase amid continuous and intense attacks from Russia.
Despite the situation turning problematic, India is making sure that the stranded Indians and students are airlifted to India. For the massive task, India is operating flights that deal with evacuating the nations. These flights are being run under the name Operation Ganga.
More than 1,000 students and Indian nationals who hail from various parts of the country have been airlifted to India so far. As of now. Five flights have successfully landed on Indian soil. The latest one, which marks the fifth flight carrying as many as 249 nationals, has reached the national capital Delhi today.
External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar took to microblogging site Twitter to share the news of the fifth flight with Indians reaching India. In his tweet, he said that India is moving forward in evacuating the Indians safely.
âMoving forward in bringing Indians home. Fifth #OperationGanga flight departs Bucharest for Delhi with 249 Indian nationals,â his tweet reads. In his tweet, he had also attached two pictures.
On the other hand, the situation in war-hit Ukraine is getting tense with each day passing. It's been five days since the superpower nation Russia launched an attack on the European nation. Russian troops are not leaving any stone unturned to take on Ukraine, while the Ukrainian troops are standing rock solid.
The United States had come forward to evacuate people to safer places. However, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reportedly said no to the offer saying that he will stay in the country to defend the nation no matter what.
