India's Coronavirus Tally Crosses 66 Lakh Mark

India's Coronavirus tally crossed 66 lakh mark with a spike of 74,442 fresh cases & 903 deaths reported in last 24 hours. The total case tally stands at 66,23,816 including 9,34,427 active cases.
While the number of active cases across the country is 9,34,427, the number of people recovered and discharged is 55,86,703. As many as 1,02,685 people died of the virus in India. The death rate has dropped to 1.57 per cent of the total registered cases in the country.
On a positive side, India's recovery rate continues to rise and now stands at 84.3 per cent. According to reports, virus cases are rising rapidly in states like Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
Globally, there have been over 3.5 crore confirmed cases of coronavirus. More than 10.33 lakh people have died so far.
