India which witnessed the peak of the virus in September this year, successfully managed to reduce the daily fresh toll of Coronavirus infections.

Despite the new cases coming down, India's toll of Coronavirus pass surged the mammoth One core mark on Saturday.

The data released by the Union Health Ministry said, India registered not less than 25,152 fresh Coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours taking the total toll to 1,00,04,599.

On the other hand, the active cases stood at 3,08,751.

Within less than one year, India surpassed the huge milestone. The first case of Covid-19 pandemic was registered on the 30th of January this year.

Tracing back the cases, India's toll reached one crore from 50 lakhs in 94 days, while it took 240 days for India to reach the first 50 lakh mark.

The only good thing for India with the pandemic is over 94 percent of patients beating the respiratory disease.

The data says, as of now 95,50,712 patients have been recovered from the virus and discharged from the hospitals according. 1,45,136 patients have succumbed to the pandemic in the country with a mortality rate of 1.45 percent.

Looking at the global scenario, not less than 75.5 crore were diagnosed with the virus. 1.67 million people have succumbed to the virus globally.

United States, India, Brazil and Russia are the top worst affected nations globally. These nations account for lion share of global cases.
