India's First Self-Love Marriage to happen without Groom
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Jun 2022 11:44 AM GMTSelf-love is a deep idea of loving the self. The practice deals with accepting oneself as the way he or she is. It also says that one has to not worry about what others think. More than what society thinks, what you feel is very important in self-love. An Indian girl is making everyone talk about the concept.
To send out a strong message of self-love, a Gujarat woman is all set to marry herself. 24-year-old Kshama Bindu, who hails from Gujarat’s Vadodara will be marrying herself, which will be the first of its kind in India. She said that she wants to send a strong message of self-love in India with this.
When asked about this, the girl said that she has no plans of getting married and at the same time, she wants to have the experience of being a bride. To achieve the same, the 24-year-old had opted to marry herself.
Her self-marriage will be like any other marriage. However, there will be no groom. India’s first self-love will see the woman marrying herself by following the rituals like applying Sindoor and taking the seven holy steps around the fire. Barring the Groom's part, the marriage will have all the rituals followed in a Hindi marriage.
Sharing her happiness of probably being the first person in India to have such a marriage, Kshama Bindu said that, after the wedding ceremony, she will be having a honeymoon for two weeks.
