During the final day of the 4-day Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Maryland, Donald Trump criticised India over the high-taxation its imposing on the goods imported from the United States. 'India a high-tariff nation. They charge 100 percent tariff when a Motorcycle from US reaches India. In contrast, We don't charge anything when a Motorcycle from India reaches US. I want a reciprocal tax or at least tax on Indian imports,' he declared.
Trump recalled how he made India reduce tax on Harley Davidson bikes from 100 percent to 50 percent when he raised the issue for two minutes. He added, 'Still, It's 50 percent verses 2.4 percent tax on Indian bikes imported to the US. They charge us 100 percent but I want to charge them just 25 percent for the same product. No country will be allowed to charge 100 percent from US if we don't get anything. They don't respect us...they think we are stupid. The world respects our country again...America is now booming like never before when other nations are performing poorly'.
