India makes unwanted record in Covid-19 deaths, reaches new milestone!

India reported as many as 3876 Covid-19 related casualties in the past 24 hours, which takes the total casualties to surpass the massive 2.5 lakh milestone, as quoted by Reuters.
India stood at third place in terms of Covid-19 fatalities after the United States and Brazil.
With 3,29,942 new cases, India's toll of total Covid infections mounted to a whopping 2,29,92,517. After 3,56,082 new patients recovered from the virus, a total of 1,90,27,304 patients in India have beaten the deadly virus so far. India's active cases stood at 37,15,221.
As an indication of how things are turning tough for Karnataka, the state on May 11 reported more single-day cases than Maharashtra, severely hit state in India. Karnataka and Maharashtra added 39,305 and 37,236 new cases respectively.
Looking at the vaccine numbers in the country, a total of over 17.26 Crore beneficiaries, 17,26,33,761 to be precise,were vaccinated against the respiratory disease. The vaccine numbers include 13,54,64,294 1st dose and 3,71,69,467 2nd dose vaccinations.
