India - World's Most Dangerous Country: Survey

According to the Thomson Reuters Foundation Survey, India is being named as World's Most Dangerous Country for Women. In categories like human trafficking, forced marriage, sex slavery, domestic violence, female infanticide and stoning, India had been rated worse.
Even War-torn Afghanistan (Rank 2) and Syria (Rank 3) have been ranked better than the tricolor nation. Somalia and Saudi Arabia have been ranked 4th & 5th respectively.
United States is the only Western nation in the Top 10. The Super Power attained joint third spot when respondents were asked about sexual violence and harassment.
In 2011, Afghanistan, Congo, Pakistan, India and Somalia were named as Most Dangerous for Women.
As per the Statistics available with Indian Government, Crimes against women rose by 83 percent between 2007 and 2016. Four Rape Cases have been reported per hour in the country.
