India Now Has More Than 2.56 Cases Of Virus

In what it could be a shocker, India reported as much as 9,983 fresh cases of the pandemic which takes the toll of the total cases in the country to 257,506. With this India became the 5th worst-affected nation in the world.
Within a few days, India turned out as the 5th worst-hit nation from the seventh worst-affected nation. The newly reported cases mark the biggest surge of cases so far.
The data submitted by the famous Johns Hopkins Univesity, India became the fifth worst-hit country in the world followed by the United States, Brazil, Russia, and the United Kingdom.
On the other hand, 287 fatalities were reported in the past 24 hours which takes the total count of the fatalities in India in connection with the pandemic stood at 7135.
The active cases of the ongoing pandemic reached 1,25,381 that are being treated at various hospitals while 1,24,094 patients have been recovered from the virus and got discharged accordingly.
The worst-hit state in India with the virus Maharashtra reported 3,007 fresh cases out of the newly reported cases and the toll reached 85,975. The cases of Maharashtra are less than that of China with 83,036.
Looking at the Global scenario there are more than seven million total cases while 4 lakh lives were claimed to the virus so far.
