India Now Has Over One Lakh Covid-19 Casualties And Over 54 Lakh Recoveries

Day after surpassing the 63 lakh mark, India witnessed around 80,000 fresh cases with 79,476 new infections in the past 24 hours. With this, the total infections zoomed to 64,73,544.
Raising many fears about the virus spread, Covid-19 related fatalities pass surged one lakh mark with 1,069 deaths reported in the last 24 hours. Over the past month, India added more than 30,000 casualties to the fatality toll.
In a piece of good news, as many as 75,628 patients have been cured and discharged in the last 24 hours. Total recoveries in the country mounted to 54,27,706, with a record recovery rate of 83.8 percent.
According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, India has a total of 9,44,996 active infections of the novel Coronavirus. This translates to 14.60 percent of total cases in the country.
Telangana witnessed 1718 fresh pandemic cases in the span of 24 hours, taking the total of the total infections to 1,97,327. The state reported 1153 Covid-19 related fatalities so far.
With a spike of 6,555 fresh infections, the Covid-19 caseload in Andhra Pradesh mounted to 706790. With 33 fresh casualties, total fatalities in the state rose to 5900.
The Global Covid-19 caseload rose to 34,817,275. A record of 25,879,985 patients have been declared cured of the virus so far, while 1,032,708 patients have lost their lives to the virus.
