An Indian badminton player who lost her leg in a road accident didn't give up on her dreams. She did not lose her determination of playing the game and gained international recognition.

With all her efforts and hard work, India's Para-badminton star Mansi Joshi featured on the cover page of Time Magazine.The badminton player now has her eyes on Paralympic gold.

Manasi Girishchandra Joshi met with a horrible incident in 2011, back then when she was a software engineer. The road mishap left her left leg crushed. Both her arms were also broken.

With Joshi's left leg getting damaged severely, doctors had to amputate her left leg. After the amputation, she went through rehabilitation for several months to learn how to walk.

In her latest interview with a leading sports magazine, she recalled all her struggles and difficulties in getting back to the game and making it big at Paralympic Sports.

After getting an artificial limb, Joshi bagged gold in an office tournament. Since then, there is no setback. She joined the Pullela Gopichand's academy in Hyderabad, two years later.

After getting trained under Pullela Gopichand, she was named in the squad of India's national para-badminton. In 2019, she bagged a gold in the single at the para-badminton world championships.
