India Records Biggest Single-Day Jump With 4,885 Fresh Cases

Over the past two days, the count of patients rose from 80,000 to 90,000 and was more nearly 1,100 higher than the previous day’s figure.
Apparently, Gujarat has became India's third state to register over 10,000 cases after Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Gujarat is in the No.2 spot with 10,989 cases, while Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu are with 30,706 and 10,585 respectively.
In the last 24 hours, 67 people in Maharashtra and 19 in Gujarat have lost their lives and recorded 118 deaths nationwide. With this, the total number of Covid-19 deaths rose to 2,871.
On the positive side, nearly 2,045 infected patients were cured and discharged yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 31,873, 35% of the total cases so far.
