India Registers 54,069 New Covid Infections In 24 Hours

The fresh Coronavirus infections, which remained below 50,000 for two consecutive days, saw a slight increase as India reported more than 54,000 single-day infections in the past 24 hours.
On June 24, as many as 54,069 people were found infected with the deadly respiratory disease across the country. India's total caseload which had surpassed the three Crore mark on Wednesday now rose to 3,00,82,778.
The fatalities related to the ongoing crisis are heading towards the four lakh mark with 3,91,981, including 1,321 patients, who breathed their last battling the contagious disease since yesterday.
Going by the details mentioned by the Union Health Ministry, 68,885 individuals were declared cured of the virus in the past 24 hours and so far, a total of 2,90,63,740 patients have beaten the virus. There are 6,27,057 active cases in the country.
Three states have added the major share of cases among the single-day cases in the country. Kerala topped the list with 12,787 cases, followed by Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu with 10,066 and 6,596 cases accordingly.
The vaccination count has surpassed the 30 Crore mark in the country with 30,16,26,028 vaccinations. Out of the total vaccinations, 64,89,599 beneficiaries were vaccinated in the past 24 hours.
