India registers over 20,000 Covid-19 new cases for sixth day straight away

Looking at the recoveries, 20,191 patients were declared cured and discharged from the hospital taking the count of total recoveries to 11,027,543 at a recovery rate of 96.64 percent. The active cases stood at 223,432.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Haryana have been witnessing a spike in fresh infections. The Centre urged the states to take the appropriate measures to curb the infections.
