India registers over 20,000 Covid-19 new cases for sixth day straight away

Proving the belief that pase of the spread of the Coronavirus gets decreased in summer, the fresh infections related to the pandemic have been increasing rapidly since the temperature has been rising.
According to the information shared by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India added not less than 24,492 cases of coronavirus taking the country's caseload to 11,409,831.
On the other hand, 131 patients breathed their last battling the respiratory disease. So far, a total of 158,856 people have lost their lives to the ongoing pandemic in the country.
India has managed to control the virus spread in January and February. However, the new infections have been increasing over the past week. India added over 20,000 new infections for the sixth consecutive day.
Looking at the recoveries, 20,191 patients were declared cured and discharged from the hospital taking the count of total recoveries to 11,027,543 at a recovery rate of 96.64 percent. The active cases stood at 223,432.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Haryana have been witnessing a spike in fresh infections. The Centre urged the states to take the appropriate measures to curb the infections.
