India Reported 61,537 Fresh Infections And 933 Fatalities In 24 Hours

On a brighter note, the total recoveries of the disease surpassed 1.4 million-mark with 1,427,005 recoveries including 48,900 people declared cured in the last 24 hours. The active cases stood at 6,19,088.
In the last 24 hours, 933 patients breathed their last breath battling the deadly virus and the total fatalities in India in connection with th virus increased to 42,518.
The data released by the Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) stated that as many as 5,98,778 samples were tested on Friday alone while a total of 2,33,87,171 samples tested as of 7th of August.
Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh are the worst-affected states in the county with the outbreak of the virus. These states account for 60 percent of cases in the country.
With 274,318 fresh cases, the global count of total cases rose to 19,523,841 and 722,952 people succumbed to the dreaded virus so far.
