India Reported Around 50k Fresh Cases, Toll Surpasses 14 Lakh-Mark

In the last 24 hours, India witnessed 49,931 fresh cases of the dreaded virus and 708 fatalities in connection with the contagious disease. With this, the total infections and fatalities of the virus stood at 14,35,453 and 32,771 respectively.
Going by the information provided by the Union Health Ministry, as of now a whopping 917,567 patients managed to recover from the contagious disease, while the active cases stood at 485,114.
The recovery rate of the pandemic patients, which has been improving gradually, currently stood at 63.92%,which is the highest so far. The previous highest recovery was 63.91% reported by India the other day.
Maharashtra( 375,799), Tamil Nadu(213,723), and national capital Delhi(130,606) continue to be the worst-affected states in the country with the virus. Andhra Pradesh emerged as the fourth worst-hit state with 96,298 infections by surpassing Karnataka.
Looking at the global scenario, the contagious disease left over 16 million people infected with the virus and claimed 647,928 lives so far. United States, Brazil, and India are the worst-hit countries in the world.
