India Reported Highest Spike Of Fresh Cases In 24 Hours

This is the highest spike of fresh cases in a single day ever since the pandemic has hit the country. This is the fourth time, India reported over 62,000 fresh cases in a single day.
On a brighter note, the total recoveries of the ongoing pandemic surpassed the 15 lakh-mark with a whooping recover rate of 69.33% including 54,859 patients recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours. The active cases stood at 634,945.
As per the data released by the Union Health Ministry, India reported the highest number of fatalities in the last 24 hours with 1,007 deaths and the total casualties in connection with the virus mounted to 44,386.
Andhra Pradesh reported a record 10,820 fresh cases on Sunday taking the toll of the total cases in the state to 2.27 lakh. With 97 fresh casualties, the total fatalities zoomed to 2,039.
Telangana added as many as 1,982 fresh pandemic cases on Sunday. With this, the total infections of the virus mounted to 79,495. So far, 627 people succumbed to the virus in the state.
According to the data collected by the Johns Hopkins University, the ongoing pandemic left 19,778,566 people infected with the virus while 729,692 people lost their lives to the virus.
