India Reports, 14,933 Fresh Cases And Around 11k Recoveries

In a shocking development, India reported 14,933 fresh cases of the pandemic in the past 24 hours and the total infections in the country rose to 4,40,215. The total fatalities stood at 14,011 with 312 fresh casualties.
On a brighter note, around 11,000 patients recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours and the total recoveries rose to 2,48,189. On the other hand, the active cases reached 1,78,014.
Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu continues to be the worst-affected states in the country due to the pandemic. While Maharashtra has 1,35,796 cases, both Tamil Nadu and National Capital Delhi have more than 60,000 cases.
Andhra Pradesh reported 443 fresh infections of the virus on Monday and the total cases in the state reached 9,372. With five fresh casualties, the total fatalities in the state in connection with the virus rose to 111.
Telangana reported the highest surge of single-day cases on Monday with 872 fresh cases and the total cases zoomed to 8674. So far 217 people succumbed to the virus.
Looking at the global scenario, the total infections surpassed the 90 lakh-mark, while 4.71 lakh people succumbed to the fatal virus. The cases increased rapidly with many nations easing the lockout norms.
