India Reports 5,609 Fresh Cases In The Past 24 Hours

The positive cases of the dreaded disease are increasing rapidly in India as 5,609 positive cases were reported in the country in the past 24 hours. With this, the total toll of the cases stood at 112,359.
132 succumbed to the fatal virus in the last 24 hours, taking the fatalities count to 3,435. Talking about the active cases, the toll stood at 63,624 with around 42,000 people recovered from the disease.
Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat are the worst-affected states in the country as these states reported around 60% of the total cases. The positive cases in Maharashtra stood at 39,297 and heading towards the 40,000-mark.
On the other hand, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat reported 11,088, 13,191, and 12,537 cases respectively. India which surpassed China in terms of the positive cases entered the list if 11 worst-hit nations in the world with the disease.
