India Reports Highest Spike Of Single-Day Cases

In the past 24 hours, 384 people succumbed to the contagious disease and the total casualties mounted to 15685.
On a brighter note, 2,95,881 pandemic patients managed to recover from the virus and get discharged from the hospitals with a recovery rate of 58.13%. The active cases stood at 1,97,387.
Maharashtra continues to be the worst-affected state in the country with the pandemic as the state has 1,52,765 infections and 7,106fatalities in connection with the contagious disease.
National Capital Delhi made it to the second slot in terms of infections with 77,240 and 2,492 fatalities so far. Tami Nadu is the third worst-hit state which has 74,622 infections and 957 casualties.
Looking at the global scenario, the total infections surpassed 9.4 million-mark, while the fatalities increased to more than 4,80,000. United States, Brazil, Russia, and India are the worst-affected nations in the world with the virus.
