Good News: India reports less than one lakh Covid cases yet again

On June 9th, no less than 92,596 more people were found infected with Covid. With this, the Covid caseload of the country rose to 2,90,89,069, Union Health Ministry's data said.
Maintaining the record of reporting less positivity rate, India on June 9th reported a positivity rate of 4.67 percent. Over the past 16 days, India has been reporting a positivity rate of below 10 percent.
With a mortality rate of 1.2 percent, a total of 3,53,528 people have lost their lives to the deadly virus in the country so far, including 2,219 new casualties reported in the past 24 hours.
Looking at the recoveries, 1,62,664 Covid patients have managed to recover from the virus in the past 24 hours, pushing the total recoveries in the country to 2,75,04,126, with a recovery rate of 94.6 percent. The active cases stood at
Tamil Nadu witnessed 18,023 new cases in the past 24 hours, while Kerala(15,567), Maharashtra(10,891), Karnataka( 9,808) reported the following highest single-day infections.
So far, a total of 23,90,58,360 vaccinations were carried out in the country, while more than 37 crore samples have been tested so far.
