India Reports Record Single-Day Cases

The positive cases of the dreaded virus in India are growing up and up by making new records of single-day cases as 9,987 fresh cases were reported in the past 24 hours.
The total toll of the cases in India stood at 2.66 lakh while the total fatalities reached 7,466 with 266 fresh fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.
On the other hand states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat, and West Bengal saw a sharp rise of the [positive cases in the past 24 hours.
Mumbai alone reported 1,311 fresh cases in the past 24 hours making it the only city in India to report more than 50,000 cases. Tamil Nadu became the second worst-affected state after Maharashtra with 33,229 as more than 1,500 cases were reported in the past 24 hours.
Delhi witnessed as many as 1,007 fresh cases in the past 24 hours taking the toll of the cases to 29,943, while 824 people succumbed to the virus.
On a brighter side, more than 48% of the total patients managed to record from the virus so far taking the count of the active cases in the country to 129,917.
