Kohinoor Diamond was Gifted not Stolen!

Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar, who is appearing for the Government in connection with the law suit seeking the return of 108-carat diamond to India, informs the Apex Court that 19th Century Sikh King Ranjit Singh has voluntarily given Kohinoor diamond to British as compensation for help in the Sikh Wars and it wasn't stolen.
All India Human Rights & Social Justice Front, a non-government organization, filed a law suit seeking Kohinoor diamond's return and sought Government's stance on the issue.
In 1950, The Sikh King presented the Kohinoor diamond to Queen Victoria after the Anglo-Sikh wars won by the Britishers to take complete control of Punjab.
